My intention of getting this boxset is very much for the GM Sniper Custom. Perhaps, Bandai felt that the GM Sniper Custom alone as G.F.F may not gain much attention so they also throw in parts to form a prototype of RX-78-2 Gundam (Real Type Color). This concept is very much similar to G.F.F 0026. Let's take a look at pics on Gundam before I change the parts back to GM Sniper Custom. To be realistic, I think this colour variant provides better cover for Gundam in space.

he, he... the super classic RX-78, the essence in gundam design... this colour scheme gives him an special taste, like a mecha-soldier with his camouflage suit... the special arm joints seem to ease the poseability... i’m wondering why Bandai didn’t use’em in his model kits, i mean, my RX-78-2 Ver. Ka is fantastic, but is not as poseable as it could be =@
I actually prefer the original white version but won't mind having this. Bandai does have this Gundam in their MG series but the kits comes with G Armor: Bandai Gundam G Armor Real Type Color Version Model Kit.
Damn - that red shield really sticks out next to the dark color of the Gundam.
Original white look better for me. It seems fix configuration is the way to go for you.

I only have 3 sets now. I used to have quite a few starting from the 1st issue but eventually gave up cos not being able to keep up due to the high pricing. I had then sold away a lot of them. Sigh...
Nice.. I got this one too. But I like the GM Sniper instead. =)
This is one of my favorite Gundam Fixation toy. Lots of places are sold out of this one.
BTW... tommorrow is a "Big Let Blood Out" day for me, as I will go visit a couple of hobby stores, as well as a art supply store.

Yes, this one is hard to get. First I order from 'Yes Asia' and they refund me the money after realizing they ran out of stock. Next I won the item on '99 Auction' but seller did not respond to me. So finally someone was willing to get go after I post it as 'Want List' on 'SG Collect'.

Agree with the spend more of quality stuff that you really want ^^ I actually prefer the G3 color, grey with purplish blue :D
I love that battle damage shield! Maybe they could have given some battle damage armor to go along with it to make it better!

So G3 is the preferred variant color scheme for you. I agreed that having more battle damaged parts in this set rather than only the shield would value-add. Cheers!
