MSIA Gundam RX-79G

This is a re-blogged post of my Mobile Suit In Action 'MSIA' Gundam RX-79G. I have taken pics of the action figure again to give it a fresh look. Based on the RX-78 prototype, the Earth Federation Ground Forces developed this Gundam variant ground-type (from Luna Titanium alloy) for earth combat. Around 20 units were manufactured at Jabaro, of which 12 were sent to the Kojima Battalion in South Asia and 3 assigned to 08th MS squad.

This MSIA Gundam Ground has provided much fun as it's very posable and comes with many accessories like the beam saber, beam rifle, 100mm machine gun, 180mm cannon and the backpack. Too bad the multi-launcher isn't included.

I love this anime. The idea of a Gundam fighting a guerrilla warfare is very interesting and realistic potraying unlike the idea of one RX78-2 taking on 10 Zakus. XD

Dennis you touch up this toy with paneling right? Every time I see MISA remind me of Malaysia. LOL Maybe it's just me. :P

Indeed, that's the kind of Gundam anime I like that has lot of realistic even though fictional. The kind of battle involving strategy instead of super power or super advance technology over their enemy.

Bro, the panel lines are originally on the action figure. No extra touch up apart from new pics taken. Hee! Hee! I thought I had typed MSIA wrongly to MISA. It does make us think of Malaysia the first instance. Lol...

a fresh revamp of pics? ^^
MSIA are good for display but i have 1, Kyrios which suffers from loose joints. =(

I always wanted to done reposting cos most of the pics taken before were not very presentable. I will take sometime to do reblogging as part of my plan. Kyrio MSIA should be the last line of MSIA. Try using gun glue for loose joints, it may help.

now i begin to understand the role of these not-so-armed-to-the-teeth mobile suits... & i watched for the first time that awesome Custom Gouf (which i will assemble someday LOL) in action... pretty much the bad guy i thought =)

Glad to have your support at my blog all this while and more glad that you begin to appreciate the not-so-powerful Gundam. Custom Gouf is an ace of the Zeon and Norris pilot it so well that even the 08th team could not match his ferocious.

It's definitely a smoothing song for nice MTV that kind of sum up the story of 08th MS Team.

I like the idea of storing your stuff in the box. Not seen on too many Gundam figures

I like keep toys back in their boxes after playing them and storing them in cabinet. I'm not so particular with the condition of the toy as long as the toy is good. I especially like the packaging of MSIA which gives a clear look of the toy.

After many times looking at this Gundam RX79-G...
Maybe I'll make this as a motive as my Itasha for my car instead of RX78-2...

Dennis aka Katsuden said...

Itasha for you car? Man! That's totally awesomely otaku bro! I wish I have a car to start off with.

Tachikawa said...

Hahaha,thanks...
Maybe, because in Malaysia, it's a trend now...
Right now I'm looking for a car to buy...Maybe a secondhand only...

It's true that the first Gundam lives in the heart of many and it remain as their favorite till today.

After more and more research, I think I prefer RX78-2 more...
Maybe because love at the first sight...
First Gundam that I saw is RX78-2...
