The masterpiece of G1 Transformers will really impressed you. It's like today's technology of toy making applied on yesterday's idea. The artwork on Takara Tomy box are also very appealing! If I am correct, the masterpiece series include Optimus Prime, Megatron, Ultra Magnus, Skywarp and Starscream.

Just recently, Jason told me that the value of Optimus Prime has shot up a lot. But I remember the original price was already around S$200 plus. Keeps you wondering how much collectors are willing to pay for toys?

Generally, the Takara produced masterpiece has nicer box artwork. The Hasbro version on the other hand comes only in plastic housing. I have seen people selling customised box with nice artwork solely for keeping the Hasbro masterpiece Starscream since Starscream only comes in Hasbro packaging. Guess Takara didn't think of that.
