1/144 Gundam Gun-EZ LM111E02 Model Kit

Let's take a look at a vintage kit of another grunt unit from Mobile Suit Victory series, @ an inexpensive price of around S$10/-. Grade : NG from Gundam Series : Mobile Suit Gundam Victory. Don't be mistaken by its gung-ho look, this unit is descendant of the GM and piloted by mainly babes as a symbol of the League Militaire spirit! Made to model kit, the assembling is a breeze with few ABS parts and polycaps. Gun EZ is from the Victory Gundam series of model kits. All kits in this line come with weapons, stands and a scenery back card.Like all Bandai Japan models, the instructions for assembly are in Japanese, but they feature very clear, easy-to-follow pictures. Though 1/144 scale, it's the mobile suit is presented in a smaller size due to the fact that by UC0153, MS size had been down sized significantly.

The models are pre-colored and snap-together, so paint and glue are not needed to complete them. Then again, the drawback is that the plastic color tone is kind of lighter than what was seen on the anime. I had used TS-28 Olive Drab 2 Tamiya epoxy can spray. The kit comes with basic armament to the beam shield, beam rifle, bazooka and beam saber. Beam saber is one normal straight thrust and another slightly curved like swing down. Mould to the bazooka and rifle are hollow on one side so for serious modellers, putty is a good option. The set also comes with complimentary display stand.

DX 1/48 Victory Gundam LM312V04

A vintage standing 32cm that still upholds its reputation as the biggest Victory Gundam till today. Scale at 1/48, its in a deluxe class with the MS in styrofoam with the accessories needed for assembling. Armaments are basic like beam rifle, beam shield and beam saber. The beam shield and saber are made of red translucent plastic which I bet they are UV light sensitive. The fingers are adjustable for better grip and the thruster cover on the back can to opened and burners rotatable. Those are really great gadgets back in 1993 despite the bulky outlook of this gigantic scale. The real catch of this toy is definitely the transformable modes. From core, bottom and top fighters. Simply said like attaching the single core fighter to either the upper body (top) or section below the hip (bottom).

This 1/48 Victory Gundam that was made in 1993 by Bandai had been very difficult to come by. I bought this Gundam a few years back when the toy flea market just got shifted to China Square. If I'm correct, I got it from Vincent's collection at price below S$200/- and I felt it was a steal. The condition is in excellent with tight joints which I probably give it a C9 with stickers unapplied. As for the box condition, maybe a rating of C7.5.

This toy has a remarkable height of about 13 inches (33cm) and stands taller than other DX large scale Gundam. A brilliant toy that is able to transform to core fighter (plane mode) and has battery operation function enabling sound and light emission. Generally, I have taken out all the batteries within all my toys to prevent alkaline leakage.

MS In Pocket 03 - Setter H926

Was searching through my inventory and found this unique toy. It's a support flight hover-craft type vehicle used by League Militaire, that the regular 1/144 scale MS in Pocket from Victory Gundam could ride on. A vintage still in crisp condition since 1993, the same year Victory Gundam anime was first aired in Japan. 

No. 03 on the top right corner of the box suggested it to be the third released of MS In Pocket Toyline.  Slight transformation where it allows MS to either stand on it like a surf board or like a rider whereby two MS can grab hold of the handle on both sides. The second transformation would required a base stand. Anyway, would preferred the second transformation as it served like an armored vehicle for MS to ride on.

Victory Gundam - 1/72 Victory Gundam Hexa

Here's another of my 1/72 scale Victory Gundam by Bandai. The differences between this Victory Gundam Hexa and V-Dash Gundam featured earlier are the weapons, head sculpt and thruster pack. Victory Gundam Hexa is without the typical V-fin and modified with the rabbit side ears for better sensory and communication. 

Unlike the V-Dash Gundam, Hexa is inferior in firepower without the powered shoulder vulcans. However Hexa had been compensated with a pair of side vulcans attached to both side of the hips. Other accessories included beam shield, beam saber, beam rifle and mega beam rifle. The length of the mega beam rifle is extendable and alike the beam rifle, it can be holstered on Gundam’s legs.

This 1/72 scale Victory Gundam Hexa was produced by Bandai in 1993 (The same year when the anime was introduced). The packaging is toy on Styrofoam insert in cardboard box. This vintage Gundam stands about 20cm (8 inches), almost the size of a typical Master Grade 1/100 scale kit. Taking into consideration that Victory Gundam is a smaller mobile suit. 

It has battery-operated function such as the head vulcans could emit lights and produced rapid firing sound upon a button being pushed. Probably because of incorporating the electronic features and durability of a toy the overall outlook of 1/72 Victory Gundam Hexa appeared rather chunky with exposed screws.
