YF-19 is my preferred valkyrie among other valkyries featured in Macross Plus however my love remains with valkyries from the original 'Super Dimension Fortress'. The Revoltech action figure is just one of three versions which I had, not forgetting the GN-U Dou YF-19 from Yamato which I had previously blogged and lastly the Yamato 1/60 scale which I have yet to open. Although, Revoltech version is the smallest in terms of size, it's strengths came from the articulation as well as the accessories that came with it. Accessories included were the extra armour, display stand and the localised forcefield effect. Some mishap happened when I was handling the figure before photo-shoot, I had accidentally, broke the antenna on the head and had to stick it back with superglue.

GN-U Dou YF-19
Production of Macross transformable valkyrie toys had been lucrative for Yamato. But with all the success the company had achieved, I'm puzzled why they went into making action figures of Macross battroid. Feels like the company down graded itself. Well, this is still quite a decent action figure of YF-19 from the series Macross Plus with fairly good sculpt. It stands around 6" so it's about the same height as the later Gundam MSIA figures. Thoughtful of Yamato that the packaging is in a box so collectors can keep the figure after play and having a box increases the storage value. The accessories that come this figure is pretty straight forward with just option hands and a rifle. Articulation of limbs are fairly ok but definitely inferior to Revoltech. If you are going for plastic quality and a figure with sturdy pose, try GN-U Dou mecha figures.

Revoltech Macross Plus YF-19 & YF-21
Even through the size of Revoltech figures ain't to my liking, the super posability of the toy truly is remarkable. Other incentive of getting Revoltech figures are all of them come with display stand and many optional accessories for collectors to pose them in infinity ways.

GN-U Dou Macross Plus Figures
Wanted to cut down on toys but had succumbed to temptation again at CSC. Everytime I visit CSC, I would end up buying something even though I have nothing in mind to buy before going. So my recent purchases are these Macross Plus GN-Dou including YF-19, YF-21 and VF-11B.
This new range of mech figurines from Yamato seems like a strategy against Kaiyodo Revoltech. I have played both my GN-Dou & Revoltech YF-19 and the verdict is that I prefer GN-Dou. It's simply because the joints of GU-Dou figure can rotate smoother without any parts dropping and the figure stand more sturdily.

Yamato 1/72 YF-21
Just came from CSC and today is more fun than last week. Apart from helping Jason, I had also tried to sell some of my toys there. Here's a loose Yamato 1/72 YF-21 with weapon, antenna and other accessories missing. I sold this dude together with my loose 1/60 VF-1S VF-1S Ver.1 to a nice buyer who shared his thoughts on toys with me. He had encouraged me to continue collecting more toys.
It was also a pleasant surprise to meet Desmond ~ 'Desmond Collection' and Adrian ~ 'Little Plastic Man' @ CSC. This is the first time I get to meet both these blogging comrades and we had spent some time interacting verbally. So glad to have both Desmond and Adrian approaching me and give their support at the booth. Nice chit-chatting about toys! Life would be really boring without toys!

Revoltech YF-21
Still in the mood of Macross Plus so I decided to blog on my Kaiyodo Revoltech Macross Plus YF-21. The test pilot of YF-21 is Guld Goa Bowman, one half human and half Zentradi. BRevoltech YF-21 was released after the success of Patlabor, Macross, Transformers & Mazinger figurines. The figurine is highly detailed and it able to be posed in many ways, just like those cool poses you see in the anime.
Before Revoltech series were introduced, Kaiyodo had been very sucessful producing anime character figurines. Because of Revoltechnology, Kaiyodo had set robotic figurines standard to a new height.

Macross Plus DVD
I would like to showcase my code 1 Macross Plus complete collection DVD which I bought online some time back. I won't say this is a spectacular OVA cos most might not like it if it is not related to Macross. The story kind of evolved around the love entanglement of three friends which led to the rivalry of the two test pilots. One of which, Isamu Alva Dyson (YF19) & Guld Goa Bowman (YF21). The OVA does have some outstanding 3D effect taking into consideration the era of production. I personally did quite fancy its soundtracks as I find the songs rather depressing.
