Justin's Invitation - Lots of Macross Stuff & More...

Feeling blessed to make a new friend cum avid collector. I first met Justin through dealing on carousel and that's when we exchanged our thoughts and liking for Macross. I'm also honoured to be invited to  join Macross@SG FaceBook group by Justin who is the group administrator. He had even promote my blog om Macross@SG. Thank you very much and this motivated me to add more Macross related posts! Another person to thank is Stanley for bringing me to Justin's house during Justin's home garage sale and not forgetting Ignatius for providing us the ride. 

There were actually more to show ... Unfortunately some stuffs had been sold to other collectors before our arrival. 

This Robotech / EXO Squad collaboration Gladiator Battroid aka Spartan even has Raffles City SOGO price tag. This is sure part of Macross record in Singapore toy collection history. 

This cockpit is impressive for its size and screen projection! It also a music player as we listen to those popular Macross themes while admiring the statue.

Infinite Stratos Cecelia Alcott Bandai Tamashii Nations Figuarts ZERO

On the left (FiguartsZERO) and on the right (Banpresto)

Considering one grade better than the Banpresto version, IS Academy pilots join the ranks of the FiguartsZero (fixed pose figurine that differ from the articulated S.H Figuarts) series. FiguartsZero is the new standard of figure series with an easily collectable price and size. It is a unique statue figure that focuses on form and colouring to reproduce each character's charm. Starting with the UK IS Representative Candidate and Blue Tears IS pilot Cecilia Alcott! This noble sniper from the British isles has most certainly given Ichika a lot to handle in the anime Pretty fab service, Cecilia is portrayed in stunning detail as seen in her body hugging IS suit and captured in sexy pose, lively expression, natural skin tone and playing with her long waving blond hair, on a clear blue display stand. Measures over 6" tall (16cm) with a pic comparison between the 2 versions.

Vifam FAM-RV-S1 Round-Vernian Action Figure

Little known of but nonetheless it's definitely one of the forefathers of visor mecha in 'Super Robot Wars'. Kudos to CMS legacy of bringing back so many Sunrise robots to life, such as this 1983 released, Vifam FAM-RV-S1 Round-Vernian. An articulated action figure of the "Round Vernian" Vifam had been at the top of many Vifam fans' wishlists for decades and CM's Corporation has finally answered their calls before Bandai's Robot Damashii. This box set is pretty rare these days and looking at the amount of accessories thrown in, it's definitely value for money. 

The figure comes packed with a sling pannier, tank twin mover, beam gun, shield, custom display base, multiple sets of hands, and the little red/orange cockpit pod that can be docked into Vifam's body. Some drawbacks were that after long storage, the surface on the ABS parts had turned greasy (kind of reminded me of mine old Gundam MSIA figures) and the joints were kind of loose and could not quite support those bulky heavy parts. Maybe its just this set, as the plastic stand was not well moulded with obvious defect dents. Some paint unevenness and smearing. IMHO, the several backpack accessories outweighed other shortcomings.

RG MS-06S Char's Zaku II (Built & Painted)

Just like RX-78-2, its nemesis is evergreen and not surprisingly induced to the hall of 'Real Grade' as Char’s iconic 'Red Comet' Zaku II customed was introduced shortly after the Zeon's grunt green Zaku II. Promised to be the most articulated 1/144 scale Gunpla till date, Char’s Zaku II had been incorporated with advanced MS joints to take full advantage of the frame structure. This allows the Zaku II to do dynamic poses such as tackle, the famous Char’s Zaku kick, and crouching similar to the MG Zaku Ver 2.0. 

Having said so, I'm still very cautious handling RG fearing breaking the joints and always looking out for any falling parts. I do like the way Kenny Ang adding those tiny metal thrusters to this built and top-coated end product. You see a scaled down of MG Zaku Ver 2.0 in this kit with inner frame, movable grabbing fists, multiple decals, colour tone variants and amazing level of details. Come with the necessary accessories like machine gun and bazooka and heat axe. Still, not my cup of tea but I admire the effort and passion of those who attempt on this Gunpla.
