1/35 Scale Border Break Kisei Kuushiki

I don't play the third-person mecha action arcade game developed by Sega which later transited to PS4, but this mecha is a love at first when I saw a video of the statue displayed at an hobby exhibition in Japan. It is only available as a model kit released by Kotobukiya in 1/35 scale (standing approx 16cm) and I strong feel that I need to build and paint it to give justice to this Border Break Kisei Kuushiki, designed by Mr Shigeo Mouri.

Love the design of how practical the mecha would be presumed in a near future. How the weapons are stored in the rear, SC-MARCHWAY can be equipped to the back mounter. A touch of the military green on the forearm, plus boosters can be attached to the left and right thigh, and the nozzle armour can be extended.

Lovely mecha design in this unit, is amazing the intricate details it packs in just 16 cm, but that’s something you can expect with a model kit by Kotobukiya and since I have seen a few of them in the flesh, I’m pretty sure about their quality and realism!... I’m not familiar with Border Break, but I have played a few third person shooter videogames and as far as I know, only Kotobukiya develops model kits based in this kind of media... I managed to get one of these mechas, based on the videogame Armored Core, preassembled and I wanted to give it a touch of paint, but since it’s very delicate, I prefer to leave as it is, instead of ruining something...

Thank you Chris and Happy New Year to you! IMHO Bandai kit still have the most friendly kits especially for amateurs such as me. Merits still given to Kotobukiya for taking the IP and coming out with a brand new engineering.
