An exclusive boxset which I grabbed at 'Toy Station' some time ago is this Berserk 'Art of War' Griffith and Casca figures. I have Guts figure from the same toyline which I got it many years ago. Seeing a product such as Berserk 'Art of War' Griffith and Casca figures boxset released 2001 is simply mind blowing!
Blood splash anime of Griffith and Casca in their Hawk Band battle armour. Both figure are made very statue like, come with base and detachable swords. Each figure stands approximately 8". Visor on Griffith helmet is movable to reveal his handsome face. Casca helmet is an accessory that can be held by her arm. Metal rings are used on their armour to add realism to the figure. I can really feel the quality of the material used. Surprisingly, the figure don't feel sticky or greasy.
IMHO, I feel that Griffith figure is better made as Casca facial expression seems a bit unnatural. Both figures need the support of their bases and I feel that the bases are kind of too big and take up unnecessary space.
The sculpture and paint application of the armour are considered good.
Figures from the Berserk anime series are not really a common sight, maybe because the series itself is hard to digest, specially the last episodes which are very dark, creepy sometimes, surreal and disturbing, even for adult audiences... This set is old but the quality is outstanding for that time! Albeit the sculpt of the face is kind of odd...
They are pretty good considering the age of the figures. Griffith Is especially good : )
I have to agree on the ending of the old season. I just watched the new season, a continuation to story on Netflix which is more toned down. It’s good and my passion for Berserk reignite ...
