MS Igloo 2 DVD

The first MS Igloo converted me to accept Gundam series in the form of CGI. Sunrise had again brought back the realism of 'One Year War' and this time round focusing on the perspective from the Feddies. MS Igloo 2 is a 3 episodes OVA that tell the heroism on 3 different lieutenants respectively. Each time I watched MS Igloo, my heart felt heavy when seeing tragedy falling upon these courageous individuals. A strong message to remind us of the death & cruelty of war, whether you are a Zeon or Feddies, do you not bleed when you had been cut. Do you not die when you had been poisoned. Have we not learn that vengeance just bring more vengeance. Episode 1 tells a group of self-sacrifice E.F.G.F officers holding the line of defense only with anti tank projectiles against those 'Death God' Zakus. Episode 2 display the effectiveness of 61 Tank (double barrel cannons) in the hands of talented individuals with strong will to fight. Lastly in episode 3, I get to finally see GMs in action during the campaign of Odessa. Well, the GMs definitely ain't the heroes. Their show was stolen by huge prototype steel tanks.

Ms Igloo definitely a series i enjoyed. Beyond the glorious triumphs of every heroic pilot lies the pain and misery of death that every soldier has to grapple with. That's realism.

Well said bro! There's a price to pay in very victory. It's how you want to go.

well bro, the series for me is totally unknown & i think that i cannot get this kind of stuff (i mean, original DVDs) cuz their price here would b seriously expensive (& i still prefer a figure instead LOL)... as for the story plot i can see is quite interesting... it seems to me a bit anachronic, like a second world war in an alternative future, with all its cruelty... a fight against an overwhelming force, a fight where the honor & courage replace the superior weaponry of the enemy... & think also (& i’m not pretty sure), that i hav over there a Bandai kit with a pair of tanks that i guess could b those showed in this series... as always i must wait a bit too much to come back to my kits =/

I understand that such dvd ain't readily available import would add pricing to the item. One way could be watching them online like 'go go anime' or 'Otaku Streamer'. The anime is based on the 'One Year Wars' where plot and idea probably come from human opinion and perspectives of wars in the past. I won't be surprise that you have either the Zeon tank or EFGF tank since they should be vintage kits from the original Gundam 'OYW' series. MS Igloo is considered the sidestories to the main plot.

hehehe, barely a few seconds ago i confirmed that the kit i hav is a pair of tanks from Magella Attack... obviously i was "a tad" confused LOL

Really enjoyed this also, but the expressions on the CG faces to me seemed wrong. An angry anime face looks fine but when done in almost realistic CG it looks wrong.

Tank vr White Orge was a cool eposode i rememeber.

The CGI for MS Igloo 2 is a tad better than the 1st, however, i would prefer gundams to stay like normal anime. hehe

Magella Attack tank is unique in the sense that when the lower part of the tank was destroy, the top portion could be ejected and the fight continue as a aerial jet.

>> Ant Sized Man
Though there had been improvement, I must admit that CGI of MS Igloo 2 on the human expression still lacks. I hope the subsequences project will out do it.

MS Igloo is a good attempt and that pleases a lot of the U.C fans. I agreed that I also enjoyed Gundam the anime style that it should be. Unicorn Gundam is one really anime of the later U.C timeline.

No prob! It's nice to share info. This feature of Magella Tank always pissed me whenever I tried wiping them off in the games. Ha! Ha!
