If you frequent arcade centres in the past, this game shouldn't be a stranger to you. This arcade game is known as Warriors of Fate - Tenchi wo Kurau II ( 天地を喰らう2 ). Warriors of Fate started as a PC game and the sequel was introduced on arcade platform. It existed even before the time of Dynasty Warriors.
Based on the era of late Han dynasty (Romance of Three Kingdoms), you can to choose any of the 5 Shu generals and battle your way to the Red Cliff. Strangely, all four Shu's Tiger Generals were playable characters of the game except Ma Chao, who was replaced by Wei Yan.
I was thrilled when I found out that this game had been released on Playstation format as a collector's edition and it took me a lot of hard work to finally obtained it. It's a gem of my game collection!

I got from a Japan seller on Ebay around half a year ago.
