Gundam Bootleg Chonker Model Kit

First build of 2026 - I wouldn’t exactly call this Gunpla — it’s more of a bootleg take on the RX-78-2 Gundam, the box says “Chonker.” Chunky proportions and all, it’s undeniably cute, but the build experience itself wasn’t particularly enjoyable. Maybe I’m a little rusty, but I clearly remember having more fun assembling legit SD Gundam kits. The magnetic joints didn’t help much, and a few parts even needed gluing — which felt like unnecessary extra work for what’s supposed to be a simple, beginner-friendly kit. That said, the waterslide decals are a definite plus and do elevate the final look. End result? Fun to display, less fun to build.
