HG RGM-79 GM Gundam Thunderbolt Version (Comic Colour)

I love mobile-suits, especially visor type both space and battlefield .. Recently watched Mobile Suit Gundam anime and without doubt lots of GM deaths! In addition to the military aspect of breaking off the supply route of the Zeon duty army, the political aspect of having to continue contributing to the Federation for the rebuilding of Side 4. The Gundam pilot seems more sinister this time compared to the Zaku pilot who is in my opinion more earnest.

Federation took on beefing up their MS with armour as a strategy to counter Zeon's snipers. RGM-79 GM Gundam Thunderbolt Version, were released between the middle of the 'One Year War'. It is known for being operated in various places. The same is true for the addition of equipments that had been increasing the effectiveness in astroid belt. Armed with more heavy duty beam gun and the attack powered up dual beam arm rifle like the ones used by Full Armour Gundam. Customised built backpack with multiples thrusters increases mobility and two innovative sub arms attached to shields, strengthening overall. protection. The improvement proved effective during fierce fighting warfare in space debris.

I have used Gundam marker to touch up some minor yellow parts. General penal lines added and decals applied. A final finish with matte top coat. Weapons were sprayed matte black and dry brushed with silver paint.

That’s a very clean and subtle paint job, in a more pale color scheme, which I guess is what you see in the comic (or manga ???) version... I think that the standardized and mass produced GM not only looks much better with the extra equipment, but its maneuverability, attack and defense power is increased considerably, making it something more interesting than just a lousy and easy shot for Zeon units... I can see you have refined your technique, which is the obvious result of practice and I think I will have my own process of training, when my work duties allow me some spare time... =D

I gotta agreed that the sketching of manga even with colours usually appears paler. With the zero gravity in space the extra equipment doesn't matter and these bulky add on sure boost the thrust and maneuverability to even grunt unit such as this. Thank you for the kind comment. It's easier to work on top coat and I think I do it badly if I try to fully spray it ^_^

Yeah! GM is my thing! Thanx for the kind comment bro. Minor touch up and top coat is the maximum skill. I can't make it if it come to fully painted kit.

Bro, the rifle is nicely weathered using dry brushing skill. Very good!

Thanx bro! This is one technique Kenny thought me which I find it easy and can be used on a lot of applications.
