SEGA IS Infinite Stratos Houki Shinonono EX Figure

I bought this figure under the recommendation of Stanley before watching the anime back then during our otaku trip. Indeed, I never regret buying this lovely preprinted figure of Houki Shinonono 篠ノ之 箒, from the anime 'Infinite Stratos - インフィニット・ストラトス'. In fact I love the anime as much as the fan service it provided and is looking forward to more continuation to this harem and mecha genre. Mainly female student in IS academy donning powered exoskeleton on dangerous mission. 

Houki Shinonono 篠ノ之 箒 is one of the main female protagonist and a childhood friend to the lead male character, Ichika Orimura. Anime accurate figure of Houki in her school uniform with the memorabilia green hair band from her childhood lovey dovey. This figure suggested that her place of residence is home to a kendo dojo, which led to her early interest in kendo that's why Houki held her kendo stick as shown in this figue. Standing 6.5" in height, this figure is supposedly a prize figure and I'm very lucky to get it below a 1000 yen. It came in a window box packaging just I had discarded to save luggage space. Well-made figure made by ABS and PVC with detail painting and ready to display white stand with the anime title. Definitely a trophy from watching the anime.

NG 1/100 Duel Gundam Assault Shroud GAT-X102

Some critics about Gundam Seed being the gayest Gundam series till date with many male characters having that extraordinary brotherhood friendship while some ultimately found their true love from the opposite sex while other remained bros ^_^ I'm referring to Dearka Elthman (Buster Gundam and Yzak Jule Dual Gundam).

Though Yzak Jule can be rather annoying in the anime, he did picked on a cool Gundam to hijack. Dual Gundam as a mid range MS is somehow close to the simplistic design of Strike Gundam and in many ways similar. Brilliantly adopted the concept of Full Armor Gundam first featured in Gundam 0080 'War In Pocket', Dual Gundam was later equipped with ZAFT armor as well as add-on arsenal known as assault shroud. I love so mecha with removable armors such as the Great Battroid Armor in Macross, that's way I bought two HG 1/100 Duel Gundam and displayed them in both modes. 

I presumed its Bandai sale strategies to first release the 1/100 scale in Non Grade HG instead of Master Grade MG even though they capable of back then. The MG of Duel Gundam was released after a decade from the anime aired as commemoration of the anime's tenth anniversary. I had mine a long time back and gave the MG a miss. The MG would probably appealed more to fans after watching the HD edition.

Honestly, I'm impressive with this kit for fact the colour parts were faithful to the anime, optional shroud parts, cool gimmicks like the left shoulder claymore cover that opens and mounted gun on right shoulder. Also came with an unpainted Yzak figure but I rather get a gashapon figure of Yzak as shown on pics for an easier way out.

Unfortunately, Yamcha and Chiaotzu was not feature. We are lucky to get special premiums like A2 movie posters, plastic file folder and a limited edition Goku handphone chain exclusively Golden Village screening!

Sword Art Online SAO II Sinon Phantom Bullet - Taito Prize Figure

When I preordered this from Latendo the promotional pic shown at standing 1/8 scale figure of Sinon however the actual product came completely different. I was kind of disappointed at first however there were some comforts to know the product came in the part like the 14cm Asada Shino Sinon Phantom Bullet PVC pre-painted figure, the sniper rifle and a diorama wall. Put them together and you will see Sinon sitting on a wall, both arms holding her sniper rifle, with that serious facial expression as she's pissed. Ok... Make peace not make piss ^_^ (A phase I recent learned from a friend).  

The fact that the parts ain't attached permanently gave it lots of flexibilities. Sinon figure is free to sit anywhere as long as she's able to balance. Her prized PCM Utima Ratio Hecate II, from boss drop from playing 'Gun Gale Online' GGO, can be used on other figurines of similar scale as accessory. It should be a good weapon for 1/144 Gundam or even Figma. The most versatile part is the diorama wall which I would use it as a prop in my future blog posts.
