Robotech Toynami Masterpiece Vol 5 Millia VF-1J + Appendix

The red, hot and saucy Veritech Fighter customed for Millia has striked. It was assigned to Millia after she was married to Max Sterling and had pledged her alliance to U.N Spacy. We have come to the last second issue of Toynami's Masterpiece Robotech Veritech Fighter (Volume 5). In this post, I will also cover the Super Veritech Armor Appendix-C, specially tailored for Millia's Veritech Fighter. Again, this Masterpiece Veritech Fighter is limited to 10000 pieces in production which came nicely in a classic book cover casing. It's production was before Yamato's Valkyries, but Toynami had improvised on Takatoku's 1/55 Valkyrie design and rectified the issues collector faced in chunky monkey.

A swiveling joint was incorporated into the legs of the Veritech at the thigh. The thigh joint makes for a dynamic pose in Guardian mode. The nose of the Veritech Fighter was lengthen slightly compared to the Chunky Monkey. With the extended nose, the detail in the cockpit was increased and enabling openable canopy. One special feature of the Toynami Masterpiece that give an edge over other Macross toy-makers is the LED light in the eye visor incorporated to bring the robot to life just a bit more. The switch and battery compartment were cleverly designed to fit between the head and landing gear. A plastic barrier was placed in the ring surrounding the neck, so as to prevent the head from twisting around past 180 degrees, and possibly causing a disruption in the LED wire.

Super Veritech Armor Appendix-C is tailored to suit the colour scheme of Millia's Veritech Fighter. You won't see the problems with breaking the fastening parts in the legs, like those in vintage chunky monkeys cos Toynami had cleverly used magnetic force to hold the armor to the legs. As for the armor on the hands, it's done by extendable fastener. The front portion of the booster can be detached and he outer casing of the leg armor can also be removed to show some details of the interior.

Fire Emblem Exceed A Generation: Eltshan Figure

My previous posts on 'Fire Emblem Exceed A Generation' figures had been female characters so this post on Eltshan will adjust the balancing scale. It can be seen from the attire that Elshan is a member of the nobles. In fact, he is a paladin of Cross Knight loyal to the Agustrian Royal Family. Eltshan carries with him two swords, the darker sword with curves, is the powerful demon sword known as 'Mystletainn'. This demonic sword is a treasure item in the game that grants its wielder +20 Skill and +10 Resistance in stats, also grants its wielder the skill Critical. Eltshan is a handsome looking character but suffered a tragic end in the story after he was caught in between friendship and loyalty to his league. He was beheaded for treason by the arrogant and foolish King Chagall.

The Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu Character Figures aka Fire Emblem Exceed a Generation is a figurine collection that have the characters from Fire Emblem: Seisen no Keifu in Generation 1 in the first volume set, featured as a Trading Figure (Japanese blind-box figure). This figure stands 4.75" (11.5 cm) in height, with a 3" in diameter base. Packaged in a color box, with Japanese text. Requires assembly. It includes a textured, circular base, with an English label of the game "Fire Emblem" on the front. So far there has been a second volume. There are a total of 7 characters in this volume and one of which (Ira) is a secret character.

Unicorn Gundam Episode 5 Singapore Screening @ Shaw Lido

As early as 9.45am, there was already a queue for registration. No wonder the queue as Unicorn Gundam Episode 5 premium booklets are limited in quantity and was given out on a first-come-first-serve basis. I was approached by a curious female passerby asking what was the queue for. Say no more! It's definitely Unicorn Gundam Episode 5 Screening in Singapore and this time the organizer had held the event at Shaw Lido. Any where is fine with me as long as get to meet up my group of Gundam geeks. I had even roped in 'Legendary Guy A' this time round.

Unicorn Gundam Episode 5 begins with quite a few phases of English dialogue which I almost thought it was English dubbed. Not as much fighting compared to episode 4,  episode 5 still had a fair bit of action while the focus remain on story progression and turning point of events. It has given a clear indication as to who immersed from the love triangle between Banagher, Audrey & Riddhe. Nice to see more determine and decisive Banagher Link taking control of his emotion & situation. Oh yes, Banagher and Audrey really link too ...

After the screening, Gundam enthusiasts began flocking to Isetan toy section to hunt for Gunpla at 30% discount, exclusive for ticket holders only. There premium like the Limited Edition HGUC Banshee NT-D clear version and Episode 5 Blu-ray, which were only be available during the day itself. Also display of Gunpla like the prototype 'Anksha'.

Realtype Gundam Cloth Heavy Weapon Command Gundam

I noticed there were a lot of curiosities among readers as well as friends when I mentioned after selling away my extra piece of Command Gundam. After I had sold this to a fellow collector friend, my other friends started complaining about why I didn’t inform them before then and that I could fetch more money if I had marked up the pricing. To me, it’s more importantly that I managed to clear some space a home and finding a responsible collector who also appreciation toy as much as I am or more passionate than I am.

Command Gundam was first introduced as a SD Gundam, which the design takes a bit of a Full Armour Gundam. However, this mecha is unique and stands different with most Gundam. In 1990, Bandai decided to produce a realtype Gundamcloth of this Gundam, a awesome giftset with stringent quality control, made in Japan. Not to mentioned how rare this Gundam is nowadays.

When opened, the 10” figure lay nicely on Styrofoam insert with the armour parts neatly arranged. Some smaller parts part like missiles and grenades on tree. The naked Gundam you see is known as ‘Frame Gundam’. But the best part is still donning the armour and those heavily armed weapons. Rifle on one arm and heavy machine gun on the other. Grenades can be hung on the shoulder and rocket launcher fixed on top of the shoulder. If Command Gundam ran out of ammunition, it could reach out to the back for the dagger. Man! This is like a Rambo kind of Gundam. Not forgetting the scouter worn on the face for accuracy.
