Hello Kitty Chupa Chups Lolipop Toy

The other day, my wife's friend came to visit us and they bought my kidz some fascinating lollipops. Even though the concept of candy toy is not something new, it's still interesting to see Chupa Chups introducing this new white & pink kawaii packaging for little gals at heart. Surprising also to see Chupa Chups having the license from Sanrio to include Hello Kitty as candy toy. Even I find this gift adorable therefore decided to snap some pics of it with the use of Wenz' toy collection to generate this refreshing post.

Predators Action Movie

Managed to catch Predators @ the cinema today before showtime is over. The delay was due to helping out at home the past few days cos my wife had just given birth to my third child, little Xenzel on 21st July. Further more, I had recently quit my job and I'm anxiously looking forward to this next transition in life.

I had returned to my current workplace to clear some unfinished business today and hence took the time thereafter to catch a movie as well as to enjoy some private time alone before returning home to resume my role of house husband. Ha! Ha!

Enough talk about me so let's share some of my thoughts on Predators. I have friends around me telling me this movie is crap but on the hand, my blogger friends commenting that this movie rocks. After having watched the movie, I personally don't think this is a lousy movie but in fact enjoy it. I believed those having knowledge about Predator movie in the past will enjoy more.

Even though this movie didn't impact me as much as the first Predator movie, I think the fight scenes in this movie were well flim and the director had pleased the fans by bring back the familiar Hunter Predator. The fight between Hunter Predator & Berserk Predator is refreshing and if you think the Predators are tough, then Yakuza is even tougher. Watch the movie to find out. Hee! Hee!

1/76 Scale GBP Hikaru VF-1J Armored Valkyrie

When I was still in primary school, I remembered saving up my allowance wanting to buy this giftset. When I finally saved up enough money, I returned to the stationery store near my old house but it was already been sold out. I wasn’t able to find till recently. What a long wait!

Made in Japan by Takatoku in 80's, the toy is still in quite a good condition with minor shelfwear on box. I am fortunate that the giftset comes completed with all parts. Instruction booklet included and stickers were kept in unused condition so I guess the previous owner must be collector himself.

Based on the model & technology of that time, the figure has only simple articulation at the shoulders, wrists, knees and feet. The GBP armor plating are removable so it can be displayed with or without armor. One very cool feature of this old toy is that the head opens to reveal pilot just like what you see in the anime.

Initial D: Takahashi Brothers' Mazda RX-7 Miniature Cars

I'm not so much of a Grand Turismo gamer neither am I a motorcar enthusiast but watching Initial D is simply fascinating car drift plus catchy euro-beat soundtracks. I got hooked to Initial D when Willie lent me his dvd on Initial D: Stage One.

It is this anime that stirred up interest in many searching for old-skool Toyota Trueno 86 and for me, it's an introduction to many sport cars from different car makers. Apart from Takumi (the main cast), there are two other support casts in the anime who have been so cool that you will look out for.

Yes! It's the Takahashi Brothers (Ryosuke Takahashi and Keisuke Takahashi), leaders and soul of street racers team called the Red Suns from Mt. Akagi. They played significant roles in the anime and it’s no wonder my friend ‘Jun Jie’ bought these two miniature Mazda RX-7 used by these two brothers.

Pegasus Albion Playset

If you have watched 'Gundam Stardust Memory 0083', you definitely will recognize this assault carrier Albion. Yes! This is a pegasus class battle cruiser that is suited for space and earth battle. It's an improved version of White Base featured in 'Gundam Mobile Suit'.

Most importantly, is like an aircraft carrier housing the ultimate mobile suit Gundam GP01 and other mobile suits like RGM Custom and Gun Cannon 2 that are only piloted by veteran and elite.

This toy Albion comes with a side mobile suit launch pad, miniature mobile suits and a display stand. There are also interior compartment to keep the miniature MS. I got mine from Ebay and it's MIB.

Prince of Tennis J-Mini Figures Konami

I have only watched this anime a couple of times on T.V and since tennis is never my game, I prefer Slamdunk. Never-mind my preference cos today’s post is on those adorable Prince of Tennis figurines belonging to Darius and between the both, Darius like Kunimitsu Tezuka, captain of Seishun Gakuen tennis club, who is never been defeated due to his overwhelming strength. Who says, those wearing specs can’t look cool hah! I’m a specky too! Ha! Ha!

The second figure Darius bought is none other than the main character Ryoma Echizen, who is talented and focus in his pursuit to help his team achieve the ultimate goal of winning the National Middle School Tennis Championship. Maybe it’s a good time to start watching this popular manga turned anime and live action movie.

Meet-Up With Master Ngee Khiong

Today is the day I get to meet the person who gave me much inspiration when I first started blogging. Yes, it none other that master Ngee Khiong. He's in town and it gives me great honour to bring him around & introducing some of the toy/model kit shops. A totally new experience of being a tour guide for a day bringing Ngee Khiong to toys shops right from Funan Mall, Excelsior Hotel, Suntec City, Plaza Singapura and all the way Bugis.

Master Ngee Khion is such a nice humble person and it's really enjoyable interacting with him. It's no wonder we spend the whole day right from ten in the morning till seven plus in the evening. Indeed a meaningful meet-up which I have gained a lot through master shared his knowledge & thoughts on mecha toys and blogging.
I hope he will like the gifts I have for him in our first meet-up.
