Use of L.E.D on Gunpla with colour changing lights...
Let's look at this year GBWC entries from Singapore
Apologies for the late posting of this year Gunpla Expo Singapore 2017 as I'm quite tied up with family vacation and transition in work scope so could only share this event on its closing day. Venue is back at the usual, Seng Kang MRT 'Compass One Shopping Mall'. New product include fascinating use of L.E.D on Gunpla Exia with colour changing lights caught my attention. Good precedent of letting visitors having easier access to Gunpla @ sale area compared to goods kept behind sale counter in the past.
Taken some pics of GBWC entries from Singapore. Have observed less of bulky kit bashes and overly sized diorama this year, perhaps candidates are more focused on techniques. Impressed by some entries that came out with unique finished artefacts that differ a lot from Gundam. Maybe I have not been following updates of Gunpla lately and surprised to see many new 1/144 scale kits. Better clear my backlog first before diving in for more kits...

This time I can see that the contestants went beyond the Gundam boundaries and made models of their own inspiration, that’s an innovative twist on the theme that I applaud !!!... However, I wonder if the organizers would allow in the future this kind of entries, since the event is focused on the Gundam franchise and the models derived from its different expressions in the mass media, I hope so !!!... =D
Really impressive entries for the SG competition, though i recall Bandai select the winning criteria mostly on how capable it to promote their products.

I encourage the freedom of expression and beyond boundaries can inspired break through to new design and new level of Gundam. In fact, I see Gundam in 'Blood of Iron Orphan' having an attraction new gundam that's quite the unique break through.

Yeah Bro! This is always the highlights an Gunpla Expo! I think Gundam would always be Gundam and the original image will never fail. Of course, the sale and new Gunpla on display is more than capable of drawing visitors attention back to Gundam!
I always like the diorama set comes with trees..very realistic!!
