I'm not sure if there's another variant of Classic Jetfire aka Henkei Jetfire but at least this should be the last variant to my knowledge. Hasbro had put in extra effort by giving this toy a new head sculpt so it looks more sinister like a Decepticon beside just reusing the Classic Jetfire mold and paint it in G1 Dreadwing colour scheme. According to Jason, this variant is rare and the value this toy easily exceed 100 USD in its loose form. Unlike the other variants the rifle of this Dreadwing was sprayed over by a coat of paint that could easily chipped off when fixed to the hands. Perhaps, Hasbro could have another variant like Evil Jetfire in purple/black colour scheme or Darkwing. Maybe, these additional variants were already in the making as I was typing. Lol...
this figure was never available in my country & i guess the price factor was the main reason for that... sometimes Hasbro makes great TFs as in this case, i like the color scheme & the accessories... the new helmet makes him look really good (& more macross style =)...
ReplyDeleteThis toy was first made an exclusive so the limited quantity and availablilty to certains countries were low. I guess this contributed to the high value. For a collector, it's hard to have the rest but miss this to complete. As a whole I like this and the other variants cos the mold was made close to a Macross valkyrie.
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or does the wings in the transformation remind me of a butterfly?
ReplyDeleteDon't remember seeing this one, but wish I had as it is a nice one.
The way the wings were folded, it does look a little like butterfly. It was released some time back and maybe it's quite rare, that's why you don't see it.
ReplyDeleteThis dark wing remind me to the Gundam double X by looking at its tein cannons and thw wing itself
ReplyDeleteOh yes, Gundam Double X when the solar panels all unfold. Long time didn't hear from you already bro.
ReplyDeleteif not mistaken there is a limited release called Dark Jetfire from the Henkei line. hehe!
ReplyDeleteJust as I thought, they won't spare a chance to milk fans. Lol...
