Bought this code one DVD from Gramophone recently at a discounted rate cos it was a pre-loved item. The movie tells a story of the national hero of Scotland, William Wallace, who inspired his race to stand up against the English during the age of Medieval. The story started at quite a slow pace when William was still a kid but story started to get exciting when William sought vengeance for the death of his wife. I love the way, Mel Gibson handled the broadsword.
The movie had also portray William Wallace's wits and courage when his well executed strategies help the underdog turned the tide and the Scots pursue of freedom But the tragic ending of William had left a sad impact on me. Sob...

The ending is indeed very sad. The war scenes are quite brutal as well. But it really is a good movie.
