Super Dimension Century Orguss was intended as a successor to Super Dimension Fortress Macross but failed to live up to the heights of its predecessor. I believed Orguss also made a little cameo on Macross anime. Super Dimension Century Orguss small success was that it inspired an OVA sequel series called Orguss 02. Adapting the same concept of 3 modes variable transformation… Here’s a mecha sofubi by good old Takatoku… It’s non-transformable yet looking great in robot standing (17cm) pose! Where are you going When are you coming home?
I have the full size Takatoku version that I bought in Japan in 1985. Sadly, most of my vintage toys have no box or Styrofoam since I didn't have my own suitcase and back then, they were so small. So, I could only bring the toys home. We'd go to Japan every other year and I'd buy everything that was current at the time - Takatoku Macross, Orguss, Gerwalk, Mospeada, various sentai robos etc.
ReplyDelete>> David, even loose toy collection command respect. It save storage space and they will lure you to play the toys more often.
