Dragon Ball DBZ Scultures Zoukei Tenkaichi Budoukai 5 Nappa Custom Painted Figure

Nappa was released as a pair in Dragon Ball DBZ Scultures Zoukei Tenkaichi Budoukai 5 and I wonder why Vegeta was not included. The intensity of Nappa on guard stylization of this figure looks great. Got to admire the craftsmanship of this figure line in high quality figures from Big Budoukai 5, Volume 4 of the SCultures Dragon Ball figure line by Banpresto. Nappa was sculpted by Takamatsu Seishin, who is new to Dragon Ball figure sculpting. Non posable however bigger 14cm than the S.H Figuarts and one quarter the price. There also a knock off version of the figure depending on your budget and how much you like the character.

Simple assembling of solid PVC and ABS and each come in three pieces - upper Body, lower Body and base. The only parts that are ABS on this figure are the base, and the scouter. Details can be seen on the scouter lens on close up like it scanning at the moment That's crazy how the scouter looks so real! The figure is not able to hold up on its own hence it has to be attached to the base for a sturdy ready-to-fight stance. Nappa isn't one of my favorite characters. I think he looks very well sculpted and has amazing detail. Great pose and nice detailing and painting. Plus the muscles on limbs rocks as they look so toned and bulged with veins on them. It's even more awesome when I got the custom painted by previous private owner, adding a little more details such as battle damage marks in the armor, facial lines, armor lines and other shadowing on the flat skin tone of the original. Does Nappa looks more anime like after the enhancement?

  1. Uhmmm, maybe it’s just me, but I feel the custom paint job on Raddits looks much better than the one for the Nappa Statue, probably a lighter shade of that cocoa color used, would work better in this case, but the work on the armor is spot-on !!!... Great offer by Banpresto, even those who are not hardcore fans of these characters, would consider seriously to get them, due to the quality achieved here !!!... =D

Both Raddiz and Nappa are painted by a different person so I guess they focus on different aspect. If you ask me, I love them equally like very parents lolz. Banpresto did a good job especially those veins on Nappa. Too mush for him to handle.
