Gundam Sendai Expo 2015 Part 2 - Celebrities' Challenge

Just a bit more of Stanley's pics @ Gundam Sendai Expo 2015 with customized made Gunpla tagged to Japanese celebrities. Seriously, I don't think these Gunpla were done by the celebrities as they were too professionally made in my opinion. I believed they were built by professional Gunpla builders when the concept and theme related to celebrities, which some were vibrant and abstract. Like the multi-coloured Shin Musha Gundam looks deliciously like Rainbow Cake. My pick goes to the trio SWAT Team GM as they looked so badass! The customed Unicorn Gundam seems like it's going to blast some groove musics with those speaker amplifiers. Some of the monoeyes looked really feminine with ribbon and poker dots for retro sense. The remaining last four pics were GBWC final entries for year 2014.

  1. a kinda bizarre selection of models, related with celebrities, is a very innovative concept indeed, i have not seen something similar until now; most of the Gundam customs are still related with Gundam series themselves... as you, i think that the Gundam SWAT trio is quite impressive, but i would add the green Sazabi and the construction themed AC-Guy !!!... =)

I guess this is a good way to re-innovate and would probably give born to future or the next Gundam. Some of the colour schemes came close to designer toys in the direction of BearBrick. Personally, I would set more with less flamboyant colours and I'm more to the type that goes with the looks on how the mecha appeared in the anime.

The Unicorn is nice in way not over exaggerated and the green byarlant indeed is one of the final entries for last year GBWC.
