Gundam Unicorn Episode 4 Premiere & Exhibition @ AFA 2011

I had donned my Unicorn Gundam T-shirt with pride to AFA 2011 for the screening of the long awaited 4th episode of Gundam Unicorn 'At The Bottom of The Gravity Well'. We had an usually huge crowd today, all in high spirit and with much anticipation. Unlike the previous screenings held at cinema, today's screening happened inside a convention hall. It's a brand new experience like watching a live concert with the company of friends. Today, fans get to see the famous White Base captain Bright Noa voiced by Ken Narita again in anime. This episode by far has the most grunt units' appearances from both Zeon and Federation. Some MSV also managed to get their few seconds of limelight finally on anime.

Not much of Laplace box secret been uncovered in this episode, nevertheless fans were well entertained by the superb action scenes, comic reliefs and surprises. The answer to those who expect Bright to slap Banagher is 'No', maybe not in this episode. I totally loved the response from the crowd when they saw the portrait of Amuro Ray inside Bright's office, priceless. In this episode, the Neo Zeon had put up an impressive assault at the Gundam-historic Torrington base with their outdated MS. The element of surprise is the main factor that they gained upper hand at first. There was a particular federation MS (RX-106S Byalant), which displayed high tenacity even under the surprise attack, which suggested that the pilot might be an ace of the Federation. My wild guess would be Kou Uraki. At the end of the episode, we were surprised by the appearance of a black Unicorn Gundam!

Those who didn't have enough of Gundam Unicorn could also view the Gundam Unicorn model kit exhibition inside AFA 2011 convention hall. On display were the yet to released Zee Zulu & the awesome MG Unicorn Gundam Full Psycho Frame. There were also exclusive Gundam Unicorn Gunpla on display.

  2. Awesome! Would really like to watch a some Gundam with like minded fellows.
Amuro Ray's pic in Brights office, looking forward to seeing that.

Black unicorn is called Banshee by the way, like how both names of the gundams are named after mythical creatures.

Looks like a cool event and that Unicron gundam is bigger than you!

And those models are so cool! I'm not a fan of the clear versions though...But seeing the ReZel and what looks like a new Unicorn is awesome!

Mann, no doubt that I loved episode 4. I'm not much of a fan to the clear or pearlie white version that came out as exclusive. I had Rezel and Delta Plus in MG and all other HGUC Federation grunt units. Latest import at AFA 2011 were GM II & Jesta.

  6. well, this is what i call an extensive and intensive review on Gundam model kits and they’re pretty good looking, i mean, as much that the grunt units look more like aces or main units... i love the Sinanju, the Kshatriya (not in SD version, by the way =P)... i hope someday we will have here some Gundam and anime related movies on big screen (it seems more probable as time goes by =)... oh !!! i have never seen an Unicorn Gundam in jeans HAHAHAHAHAHA... nice !!! =D

  7. Bro, I always like your true opinion. There are some skillful pilots in Federation but most of the time, the GM just stood there and got annihilated. Lol... Sinanju & Kshatriya indeed are well-design mecha. Well, they didn't appear in the 4th episode.

ps: I want to be Stark Jegan, not Unicorn Gundam. Ha! Ha!

  10. Stunning Gundam Unicorn you are standing next to.

I am thinking that I need to get some of those transparent Gundam models.

  11. The human size Gundam is certainly the main attraction at Bandai section. I prefer kits that follow the anime closely. Some transparent kits are nice looking too!
