HGUC Gundam RX78-2 Ver.G 30th

Here comes the second project of A and D after our SD Red Astray Gundam. With his plus five level Gunpla cutter, Alfred had unleashed his Keroro power to fix up his Gunpla. This time on more formal kit, the HGUC 30th Anniversary Gundam RX-78-2.

Even though this kit could not match a Real Grade RG, it does have some interesting features like the improved mechanism on the shoulders that increases the range of arm movement and on the rear of the MS, the bazooka could be clipped on and the insert on the backpack enables the shield to be kept neatly behind.

However, the kit does not come with additional left fist that could hold the weapons. The beam saber comes entirely white so painting is required. The beam saber should come with pink translucent beam that's attachment to the handle.

  7. I really like it when you can clip the weapons on somewhere. I think it adds more to the overall character.

  8. Indeed, it also add more realism to sci-fiction anime like this that was origined three decades ago.

  12. i find this guy pretty similar to RX-78 version ka & what catch my attention was the shield’s decal mentioning the White Base (that BTW requires a lot of paint as i could verify & it has a lot of tiny parts & even 3 super mini mobile suits... that will b a great challenge !!!)... oh & the spiked ball is a nice accesory =D

I prefer to do touch up so the straight build was done by Alfred aka on_o. This classic design is timeless.

The waterslide decal on the shield is from Akocreation and it suited perfectly on this RX-78-2. Oh, the spiked ball as weapon might seems barbaric and outdated, but it does give a lot of character to the very first Gundam.
