Macross Frontier RVF-25 Messiah Luca Custom Chogokin (Flight Mode)

To be honest, the pricing of recent chogokin toy related to Macross Frontier had been steep and those so called refined 2nd edition and same valkyrie mold with anniversary prints are driving me nuts. Just could not continue and pace with my latest procurement only at VF-171 Nightmare Plus. Frankly, I could hardly call this a review but more of blogging on the humble collection of the first edition, 1/60 Macross Frontier RVF-25 Messiah Luca Custom Chogokin, with pics of the valkyrie in fighter mode. RVF-25 as the 'R' suggested, as a variable fighter for Reconnaissance. It's a property of S.M.S (Strategic Military Services) assigned to Luca Angelloni of Skull squad. Modification of this custom VF-25 would be the radar disk mounted on top of the messiah and the antenna that could be flipped down. The radar disk could also be rotated and extended for broadening. The head design of the RVF-25 was unique to the rest as the head looked insect and with the overall green colour scheme, the mecha took on the image of a grasshopper. As for the gimmicks, the cockpit could be opened, showing the miniature Luca pilot and the set came with super messiah parts which are attachments.

MANDARAKE Akihabara Shibuya & Nakano

Had to play secret agent doing this post for these confidential pics as Mandarake had prohibited photo-taking within their premises. Mandarake is one biggest players when it come to toy trading in Japan both retails and online. They do buy in old toys beside selling so if you a collector of vintage toys, look for Mandarake. During my otaku, Agent S and I had managed to cover 3 Mandarake stores like Akihabara which is within walking distance from our inn. We had also took train to visit Mandarake Shibuya and Nakano. 

Mandarake Akihabara - This tower of power is an institution. Housing eight floors of anime merchandise, toys, collectibles and manga, the place offers enough pop-culture goodies to make any fan beam with joy and go bankrupt. The lift is usually packed so warm up by taking the stairs. This store is most frequent by tourists but communication is ease as I was greeted by Caucasian staff. 

Mandarake Shibuya - Many say Shibuya has probably the biggest single Mandarake store. Locating the store can be a bit challenging if you walk from the train station and the store is hidden underground. A more open concept for shoppers to feel and touch the items on the shelves. With some patience going through the shelves, you will find rare gems.Shibuya area is know as a place for young people in Tokyo. New pop culture has been developed from this town. Mandarake Shibuya is located in underground floor of Shibuya BEAM. All manga and anime goods are place in one large floor, it is like treasure hunting. 

Mandarake Nakano - Their goodies are segregated into many smaller stores within the building. You will see a single store with all the Transformers toys, store solely on Sentai rangers/ Kamen riders and store entirely on western imported toys.Mandarake Nakano is the main shop of Mandarake. Mandarake was established in 1987 as a pre-owned comic dealer in Nakano Broadway buiding. Mandarake currently has 16 different stores separated as a kind of items selling. Accel World Black Lotus Figure-rise 6 Model Kit

Welcome back again to the acceleration world and we are plugging to Accel World Black Lotus Figure-rise 6 model kit. Black Lotus is Kuroyukihime's highly feminine mecha avatar in Brain Burst world whereby she is the leader of the Black Legion. Her biggest ambition is to reach level 10 and meet the game creator in order to understand the cause and effect of how the game could affect the real world, but to accomplish that goal, she has to defeat five other level 9 users who just so happen to be "The Six Kings of Pure Color", the leaders of the six most powerful factions in the Brain Burst world. 

So much having said, let's take a look @ the model kit by Bandai under the line of Figure-rise 6. Figure-rise probably meant for anime characters closely related to mecha in 6". It's a fully posable model kit by easy assembling and application of foil sticker. May require some black marker-ing on the clear antennas on head. The cool part about this kit is definitely those clear purple parts that you see on the visor, limbs, armored skirt and lots of effect parts. 

More clear parts can be seen onto Black Lotus in over drive mode by swapping and adding clear parts to the antennas on the head, limbs and armored skirts. In over drive mode, you can also switch her blade arm to an extended version. Those clear effect parts include 2 different types on the blade arm and those to be placed on the floor as dashing aura. A white translucent pose stand is included for displaying her in action , which is especially needed as the kit can't stand on its own given the pointed feet.
