Chogokin Metal Material Model Strike Gundam (Launcher and Sword)

I would consider this gift set as a supplement to the Chogokin Metal Material Model Aile Strike Gundam which I reviewed previously. I certainly don't fancy the deactivated colour tone of Strike Gundam in this instant. The reason for getting this set is probably for the accessories that come with it. Attractive accessories consisting of the "Schwert Gewehr" Anti-Ship Sword, "Midas Messer" Beam Boomerang, "Panzer Eisen" Rocket Anchor (extendable graggling claw arm shield), "Agni" 320mm Hyper Impulse Beam Cannon (launcher blaster cannon), 120mm Anti-ship Vulcan Gun (gatling gun shoulder armor). These accessories that made up the Strike Gundam in Sword and Launcher version. The excess material can also be anchored and display on the support fighter, FX-550 Skygrasper, which come with a stand.

This Metal Material Model Strike Gundam GAT-X105 is presented in a typical Gundam Chogokin artwork with naval blue background, leaving a small window in-front for collectors to take a glimpse of the head sculpt and metal exo-skeleton. Weapons and armor parts are arrangement neatly on the plastic blister inserts, so you will need some time and effort to complete the Gundam. Not to worry cos the parts snapped nicely and won't dropped easily even when you moved the joints. Robot height is estimated to be at 6 inches (like 1/100 Master Grade Gundam models).

Warlands Elessa Figure

If you are looking for anime style mixed with 'Dungeons and Dragons' or medieval knights action figure, you might consider, Pat Lee's Warlands comic series, spawned an even hotter line of action figures! You have read on my previous post on Warlands Vampire Prince Aalok so here's Elessa, the elf girl warrior. Warlands Action Figure, Elf Princess Elessa, standing approximately 6", was released back in 2000 by D-Boy. They were designed in a way alike the medieval knight style that Japanese artists use when drawing knights in armor. Strong resemblance to many knight fantasy characters. Furthermore, accessories like sword and sheath included. Sword can be drawn out or kept in sheath.

Elessa is an Elf of Noble blood from the Royal family of Yattannia. Though exiled from her native nobility, Elessa continues to serve the greater good of her people by fighting alongside the human armies of Myridorn. Her fearsome fighting abilities are tempered by her ever-calm and decisive nature. Elessa is a principal fighter in the war against Malagen and the Dataran horde.

MS In Pocket RGM-122 Javelin

It’s an extremely hard to find this GM! To my knowledge, ‘MS In Pocket’ series is the only version of this mecha in the form of toy. Alternatively, you might consider the vintage 1/144 model kit which I have yet to review. I got managed to obtain this from fleamarket which came loose without an accessories. So the weapon you see here are those savaged from Victory Gundam. A little facts about this mecha. RGM -122 aka Javelin was manufactured and widely used by EFSF as mass-produced MS in the late era of UC0150 (Appearance on Victory Gundam anime series). As usual, this descendant of the first GM suffered the same fate of cannon fodder, proven highly ineffective against the Zanscare Empire MS.

The toy was produced in 1993 by Bandai, the same timing when the anime was aired. It’s in the scale of 1/144 but seems kind of miniature to me. The sculpt is pretty accurate for an old toy. Many joints I would say for a small toy so it’s pretty posable. The joints are a bit loose but since I’m not the first owner, I won’t know the kind of abuse the toy went through before it reached my hands. Overall, it’s a cool toy and nice addition to my fleet of GM collection.
