Transformers Animated Happy Meal Toy 2010

When it comes to Transformers collection. My son probably beat me by the numbers. Well, I still the pride owner of my G1 Jetfire and Henkei Jetfire. My son is a toy car addict so Transformers is probably the best avenue for me to introduce robot to him via transforming cars. These Transformers Happy Meal toys had provide much joy to my four-year-old whereby the simple transformation would help stimulate his mental process, at least I think so. Hee! Hee! Then he bragged endlessly that he could transform the toys soo... well. I do like the Mac Donald Happy Meal Optimus Prime toy a lot as the transformation has a lot of likeness to the G1 version. Not so much on the details cos I wouldn't expect more from a free toy that comes with the Happy Meal. It sure looks awesome like a mini-me of the huge Animated Prime, which I gave him as birthday present when he was two.

Non Grade NG Gundam Airmaster Kit

Some have never seen this and many ain't familiar with this Gundam. Gundam Airmaster was featured in Gundam X series, as a sidekick. Gundam X series produced in 1996 is like an anime rest on the seabed ....soo.... quiet or unpopular these days that it's almost forgotten. I remember lending this anime to a friend some years back when he questioned me after watching half the series, on why Gundam don't fight in space anymore. Well, that's becos the anime don't have any engagement in space until the final battle. So much for the anime series...

This 1/144 scale Gundam Air-Master is an old kit which was probably produced before the discovery HG technology. However, this doesn't mean it's a lousy kit, in fact not at all. It's transformable between robot and plane without haste, relatively nimble (A ball and socket system allows movement in the limbs and torso) and no issue on balancing (good weigh distribution). It comes molded in 4 colors, so painting is minimal. Just some paint works will do the trick. The touch-up isn't done by me but the previous owner.

Transformers Singapore Walkabout

In conjunction with 2012 TRANSFORMERS Cybertron Con, which is less than a month away, Transformers had began their invasion to our sunny island from the heartlands to Central Business District, in their KRE-O form. It feels like the continuation of the last general election walkabout don't you think? Transformers are certainly no strangers to Singaporean who had been exposed to the cartoons since the 80's, Transformers' toys that's ever available @ leading departmental stores and not forgetting those recent mind-blowing Transformers live-action movies. Just see how well they integrated to our society from queuing for chicken rice, interacting with Mr ice-cream seller and approached by passersby for photo-taking.

Roy Focker Special Handphone Pouch

I was browsing through HLJ list of Macross stuff when I came across this awesome pouch. It must have been around for a while as the item was long sold out. A follow-up search on Ami Ami ended up the same result. In my opinion, Macross apparels and accessories don't come by as easy compared to Gundam. It's good to have several online shopping links for Japanese toys and stuff so the answer to my desire is Rakuten this time round.

This Macross Roy Fokker Special pouch follows the primary colour scheme of Roy's VF-1S valkyrie, which is (black, white and yellow) in the pattern of Roy's VF-1S, chest area in battroid mode. It also bears the iconic Roy Fokker's insignia, the skull as well as U.N Spacy logo. It's a simple pouch but with character, that come with a hook harness that allows the pouch to be conveniently hang around any loop, in my case, the belt loop. I'm using it as a handphone pouch, one that is distinguish myself as a Macross fan. Tributes to Senpai Roy Focker!!!!

龙虎门 Dragon Wong Figure

It's the year of the dragon on Chinese Zodiac therefore blogging on Dragon Wong from 'Dragon Tiger Gate' deemed an appropriate timing. Dragon Wong is another key character in the comic and the elder brother of Tiger Wong. His insignia is the lightning logo on the chest. Unlike his younger brother, Dragon martial art skills are more specialised on arm-attack. Dragon adapted better to situation due to his composed personality. However, he's constantly in a dilemma between protecting those he honored in the gang and upholding the teaching of 'Dragon Tiger Gate'. In the real action movie, Dragon was played by the internationally renowned  martial artist Donnie Yen. This trading figure by Jade Dynasty come with an extra accessory, which is the removable staff.

MS In Pocket - V Gundam + Dash

Ready to 'Stand Up To The Victory!' 1/144 scale Victory Gundam was released in 1993 (same year as the anime released) by Big Brother “B” under ‘MS in Pocket’ toyline and at that time fixed @ only 1000 yen. As a Gundam toy in 1/144 scale, this figure stands roughly 4”, meaning it's quite a dwarf. Which derived that MS during the later U.C era shrunk in size. Probably smaller MS reduces the chance of getting hit, hence dodged better.

Physically, this toy is small enough that you can keep it in the pocket and bring it out like most kids would do. When you look at the top right corner of the box, you’ll see a number 01, which tells you that this is the first installation of the ‘MS in Pocket’. In this post, I have generously to bundle up, installation 11 as well, since this latter installation is just V Gundam with additional accessories and then given a longer name known as V-Dash Gundam.

The V-Dash accessories are the core fighter, core booster (can be attached to the backpack as overhang cannons) and beam cannon. Both sets come with two types of saber beam. Beside is the typical looking one, there’s another that’s more sword looking. But in my opinion, the beam shield is the most awesome!
