Transfomers Universe Tread Bolt

This Autobot released in 2008 as Tread Bolt under Transformers Universe toyline is another of those many variants made from the mold initially for Henkei Jetfire. Tread Bolt not only takes the mold of Jetfire, the weapons are identical too. Transformers Universe Tread Bolt toy was released based on the same colours of the first Tread Bolt that's supposedly blue & yellow. This colour scheme kind resemble 'Blue Angels' acrobatic planes. Released in a packaging similar to to Transfomers Classic Jetfire/Skyfire, the toy also comes with removable add-on helmet with the side guns becoming blasters mounted on the sides of the nosecone in plane mode. The toy's add-on booster unit that's allow to flip and extends its cannons accessibly in both modes. Universe Tread Bolt can knock out its enemy using forearm-mounted spring-loaded missile launchers.

MSIA Zaku II (Version 1)

Here's a flashback posting of one of those 1st few batches of early MSIA that were released in 1999. One of those in my collection is this loose Bandai series 1 MSIA Zaku 2 which I had the pics retaken. I would say it's an action figure suitable for young children above the age of 3, who has yet to pick up Gunpla assembling skills. The accessories are also least hazard as they are rubbery and bended easily, hence ain't easy to break. It's the kind of robust action figure that's sure fun to play with. Well, it suited me in the past. Lol....

In comparison with it's predecessor, this pioneer version is smaller (standing slightly below 4") and lacks articulation. The preprinted panel lines appears too thick and obvious as well. I had thrown off the box and I could not find any appropriate pic on the original packaging via internet.

Shin Sangokumusou 2 Lu Bu Trading Figure

As the saying goes, among all men, Lu Bu, among all horses, the Red Hare. When you put them together, they come formidable. Lu Bu is my favourite character in Romance of three kindgoms, not because of his betrayal but his boldness and might. Koei had recreated Lu Bu in Shin Sangokumusou, the badass formidable enemy at the battle of Hu Lao Gate.

I bought this Shin Sangokumusou 2 aka Dynasty Warriors 2 Musou, trading figure of Lu Bu on Ebay Singapore. The Lu Bu figurine is a rare find since it's the only secret figure out of 9 others. Even on the box, there isn't an pic of this Lu Bu figure been shown. The figurine stands around 9cm.

1/100 Powered GM Conversion Kit

Here's a conversion kit which I had bought from Akocreation that will transform my GM Type C to a Powered GM Conversion Kit. I'm kindof surprise that the conversion only requires a few pieces of add on parts but I believed the real challenge and tedious moment would be spraying. For a start, it's easier to try out plastic conversion kit rather than resin kit. Truly the kind of conversion kit I need to expand my GM collection.

Coming Singapore ComiFest 2

My wife just showed this to me so I guess the coming cosplay event might interest you, especially for those who has keen interest in anime AND cosplayer. It's showtime for local cosplayers again to showcase their talent and passion this coming 4th to 5th June 2011 as ComiFest 2 approaches. Cosplay ain't so familiar to me but who would mind looking @ kawaii stuff and experience Jap culture in our heartland : Club CSC located at No. 91 Bukit Batok West Ave 2. Moreover, admission is free. It's not very far from where I stay so I will most probably drop by. The location venue is even nearer to Leon from 'Open The Toy'.

Macross Arii VF-1J Action Figure

Back to the nostalgia of the early days of Macross action figure by Arii. Touching on this VF-1J figure of mine, it came as a birthday gift from my dearest wife before we were even married. My wife has never discourage me of collecting toys as she feels that this is a healthy hobby as long as I don't get too spendthrift. Over the years, she had given me many Macross related items, which to me has strong sentimental values. Some of the birthday gifts previously received included Macross T-shirt with GBP VF-1J print. Macross birthday cake and Macross mug.

Similar the VF-1D Arii action figure which I had posted previously, this VF-1J action figure also come with a character figurine and it's none other then Hikaru himself.

風雲 Feng Yun: Striding Cloud Bu Jingyun 步惊云 Figurine

As the title suggested, Feng refers to ‘Whispering Wind’ and Yun, Striding Cloud. To complete the pair, I have also gotten the figure of Striding Cloud. In contrast with Whispering Wind, Cloud’s personality appears to be colder towards others except a selected few whom he cares for and respects. The fact that he didn’t not shed a tear when witnessing his family got killed, he’s nicknamed the " God of Death Who Does Not Cry" (不哭死神).

This 4.5” figurine is of the same toyline as the ‘Whispering Wind’ figurine, which I had posted previously. The figurine was sculpted in a way Cloud take the stance of wielding his powerful ‘Sword of Ultimate Superiority’ and at the same time executing his palm stroke with his Kilin arm just like the comic illustration in the first pic.
